The ark usually speaks of safety in troubled times. It has one window, means we need to have a singleness of eye on heaven and eternal things, rather than on the world (see Colossians 3:2).

It has one door, refering to Christ being the only door to heaven. The length was 300 cubits and the number 300 speaks of walking with God (see Genesis 5:22).

Have been reading this book called "THE WAY OF THE SHEPERD" and it really is an awesome book teaching me alot of things and I would encourage you to get the book for yourself to read and learn how to shepherd people. It is not only for church base purpose but for any place kind of leading people and so I would encourage shepherds and leaders to get this book. I will be posting some of the summary at the end of each chapter that is if I've finish reading it. There are 7 princples anyway.

How We Should Live Our Life

I was convicted on Saturday 10 January 2009. What I was convicted was this, I was just spending time before going for the wedding and as I was reading the bible and also throughout the whole day the question that God repeat to me was this simple sentence. "HOW HAVE YOU LIVE YOUR LIFE". It has nothing to do with me sinning or doing wrong thing or whatever you can think of.
What God said to me was just this 2 things

What time do you sleep and wake up?
What's the first thing you do when you wake up

Lets start with...

1) "What time do you sleep and wake up?"

Recently or even since youth camp I have develop a bad habit of sleeping at wee hours meaning after midnight and that's nothing good or anything to be proud of. Staying up awake to play games or stuff and then sleep in the morning is also crazy, I can't say it's wrong because I don't think it is however what's wrong here is this that...

---> When we sleep late we wake up late and then our whole schedule for the day is in a mess, we are late for almost everything, cancel some meetings because we are tired or too late to make it and many other reason.

---> When we sleep late and then have to wake up early for school or whatsoever, we tend to lose our temper halfway through the day because of the lack of sleep or we just become tired but it's not because we are doing things or other stuff.

---> When we sleep after midnight, believe me or not that's up to you ( you can check with other leaders too if you don't believe me) but once after midnight you are weak and that's a chance for the enemy to start attacking you.

Your mind

- You start thinking things that are not true. Like you are not a good leader/shepherd/christian, You are lousy/cannot make it/useless

- Guys and maybe girls start having wrong thoughts. Guys start thinking of girls and all the perverse thoughts and girls start thinking bout guys they like, think the handsome or nice and many more.

Your feelings

- You start feeling all the emo and stuff, remember all your past romance and start thinking this and that

Your purity

- I don't know about the girls but maybe its the same but for guys we start looking at pornography, have thoughts that are wrong and might even do the wrong thing; masturbation. I don't know what girls do but it might be the same as us guys

2) "What's the first thing you do when you wake up"

I was convicted by God this also because recently everyday when I wake up the first thing I do is this ON THE COMPUTER like many of you who during your holidays do this. That is also not wrong but think about this who comes 1st in your life? Jesus or Your pleasures/Your desires?

So I've decided 1st thing I will do in the morning is read my bible and seek God.

Basically this is the case that we as good christian/uprising leaders/wanna be leaders should learn to sleep early, wake up early, plan our schedule and spend time with the almighty Daddy God.

This is must to the core of my cell and cell that we sleep BY 12am starting from monday 12 January 2009 and wake up early to do our quiet time and also of course before we sleep. Of course for the "senior citizen" of my cell you must do it too.

I will check once in awhile but do have integrity and do it and not lie to me. It's for your own good

Accountability

Here's a little something I've learn this few days and that is accountability. Reading the whole book of Joshua I learn something of course there are more that I have learn but one thing I want to share is accountability.

Reading up the whole book I realise this that the people that Joshua was leading always account to him and they were in safety and in one part of the book Joshua 7 one of the people/follower did something wrong and did not account for it and was hence judge by God and it was scary reading it you can't see much of a picture but if you just imagine you will be able to know. What amaze me was this that even as the people account to Joshua, Joshua himself learned to account unto God and there was such a blessing and safety with the advice and warnings of God.

Please read Proverbs 11:14

- Where there is no counsel, the people fall; But in the multitude of counselors there is safety (NKJV)

So I realise that in cell we are lacking this accountability and I'm learning to be accountable because I believe it starts from the top and hence I will find a leader to account to and also be accountable so it means I will take the lead and follow what I said. Shepherds/leaders learn this it is not how talented, smart, strong, pretty/handsome, tall/short and many more that will make us great BUT it is the measure of servant hood, humility and accountability we have in our life so hope you learn something from this and start doing what is right and safe for YOU.

The larger picture

Talking to some people today regarding their plans or ideas for winning their friends/school.

Of cos they tell me this and that so I prompted and ask deeper and deeper and soon they realise they don't have a "bigger picture/idea of what they want to do and so this post is to help you out.

In life it's just like this a picture but you don't see the whole thing you only see half the picture or just a small part of it and that's a pity because we can ask God for revelation and also an insight of the picture and God will gladly do it.

This is life whether you like it or not we are just shortsighted of the things God has for us and we need to learn to take a step back or even more steps back to have a clearer vision of the picture and thus know where we are heading if not we are just blind. It's the same for leaders and shepherds we need to SEE where we are going, we need to KNOW where we are going.Matthew 15:14 speaks about a blind leader leading the blind and I don't want to be that kind of a leader. I want to know where I'm going and then bring my people there. So to those who read this let it be an inspiration, an encouragement to learn how to see and move.

This is the larger picture of that small picture you see hope you get the idea.

Vision Casting

Pehhan brought us around to walk aimlessly for cell today, the leaders knew what pehhan was up to but was told not to say anything so all we have to do is say I don't know. The response was kind of funny and also interesting coming from all the different people but well I guess we got the emotions and feelings we wanted and hopefully they learn something from it well if you didn't its here go read up.

After reaching back to church and this was what pehhan shared from Proverbs 29:18

- Where there is no revelation, the people cast off restraint (NKJV)

- Where there is no vision, the people perish (KJV)

- When people do not accept divine guidance, they run wild (NLT)

This were some of the thoughts and feelings,

Waste of time
frustrated

And that's what happen when we do not have a vision of our own life, we run wild going NOwhere and not knowing what to do. So those of who were in cell hope you remember the feelings you had today and have a vision for your life.

So here's the zone vision if you need a guideline to your life and set it for your own.

Matthew 22:34-40

1. v.37 - Love the Lord with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.

*How many of us really take the time to love God?

*when it comes to loving God theres alot to it like

praise and worship

- Do we clap and jump with our all or just anyhow and give it abit of our strength?

- When we lift up our hands do we lift them halfway for fear of being seen by people and commented by them?

- Do we just give our loose changes to God?

- "Tip" God like how we tip a bellboy?

coming on time for church or cell meetings.

- Do we come late like it's nobody business?

- Do you love God that you will come on time because His waiting?

Is it the people who live next to your house?

Ans: Its the people who are around you, the people who walk pass you everyday.

What really really matters?

Well hello everyone Wong posting again...OK I'm guilty for not posting for 14days actually I'm not oh wells lets not waste time and get on with what I want to say so sit tight you better grab a seat belt and a handlebar to be safe haha...

Was very discourage for the past few weeks with the things that has been happening and going on around me it feels so irritating with all the things people say or do. Well there are those who were really close to me and said things that really really affect me a lot and made me think a lot and it discourage me a lot make me feel lousy worthless and also to give up everything

Talking to Peh Han just awhile ago really change me, set me free from my thoughts what he said was something simple but always forgotten by Christians which is "Why bother about what other people say or think, What we really should bother is how God thinks of us" and its so so truth why do you bother about what people have got to say and comment and think about you because in this world no ones perfect to say you are totally wrong or correct only God is able to do that of course we have to listen, submit and learn from our leaders because they are also imitating Christ. Like Paul said in the bible imitate me as I imitate Christ so all of us also have to learn this and learn from our leaders. I agree and admit our leaders are not perfect or wonderful but as least they are doing their best, learning from the mistake and guiding us towards Jesus so wonderful people start learning from them..

Alright this post is to stop Melissa from pestering me with "WHY YOU HAVEN'T POST?" so I'm going to post something that was on my mind for the past few days and because I was tired and busy so I didn't post it so here we go

Two keywords here "SMS" and "ENCOURAGEMENT" but before I go on typing anything here I just want to make this clear because I've already plan to do this and that is to SMS every individual an encouraging SMS and all will be different and it's not for the sake of this post but to really appreciate people and encourage them.

It's very easy to mass SMS everyone an encouraging message and try to encourage them but it's not as simple as it is because people can tell if you really mean it or not and it's very clear to people when they realise it's a personal or mass sms. So people out there just want to chanllage you to start sending personal message to people when they deserve to be encourage and not just take for granted and send a mass SMS

Jesus Cleanses a Leper

I was reminded of this passage when I was reading mark and it kind of remind me of the message I've preach in Myanmar. So I thought I'll share it with the cell what I am seeing in this passage.

Mark 1:40-45
40. Now a leper came to Him, imploring Him, kneeling down to Him and saying to Him, "If You are willing, You can make me clean."
41. Then Jesus, moved with compassion, stretched out His hand and touched him, and said to him, "I am willing; be cleansed."
42. As soon as He had spoken, immediately the leprosy left him, and he was cleansed.
43. And He strictly warned him and sent him away at once.
44. and said to him, "See that you say nothing to anyone; but go your way, show yourself to the priest, and offer for your cleansing those things which Moses commanded, as a testimony to them."
45. However, he went out and began to proclaim it freely, and to spread the matter, so that Jesus could no longer openly enter the city, but was outside in deserted places; and they came to Him from every direction.

If you know anything about a leper or leprosy it actually is a disease and if you read in the bible and if I didn't remember wrongly that people say/believe it was a punishment from God because you are a sinner so in other words leper/leprosy is unclean or dirty. In the past, there was no cure for leprosy and if left untreated, leprosy can be progressive, causing permanent damage to the skin, nerves, limbs and eyes. So when that happens your limbs will stop working because your nerves are damage causing it not to function well and many of us is like this spiritually. Spiritually we are LEPERS. 3 parts to share what I want to say.

Why do I say we are lepers?
1) Simple because we let ourselves be bound in our sins, insecurity, past failures, past mistakes, people's comments and thoughts and all this things causes us to be cripple in our spiritual walk with God because we choose to let it keep us down and not climb back up, we don't know how to face it, how to deal with it and much less have the boldness to face the problem. If you check the world teens today when they face a problem they run away and if they can't run, they cut themselves and if they can cut themselves, they commit suicide. Like many of you I was once a leper and still is because I'm still dealing with issues in my life and sometimes I don't dare to, like the recent case of me being remove from course it was a blow to me but thankfully there was leaders and God to support me and walk me through it. When we don't deal with our issues we are like leaving our leprosy untreated and hence cripple ourselves.

2) In verse 41-42 we can see that Jesus was move with compassion and healed the leper and the leper was cleansed immediately and this is where I come to an exciting point. Understand this that we might be afraid, unable and tired to face our problem much less to overcome it but I want you to know this that the bible says here in verse 41 that Jesus was move with compassion towards the LEPER and let's think for a moment OK. The leper is a non-christian and Jesus was move with compassion towards him so how much more will JESUS be move by His own sons and daughters. What I'm trying to tell you is this that despite all your flaws and shortcomings, Jesus is still moved with compassion and loves you the same. His love never changes be it in good times or bad times HE IS FAITHFUL. So my dear brothers and sister I want to encourage you to begin stretching your hand towards Jesus and let Him heal you of your leprosy come on cause if He can do it for me surely He will do it to you cause we are all human that are the same with weaknesses.

3) In verse 43-45 we see that Jesus asked the ex-leper to go show himself to the priest however the man did not and went out and began to proclaim it freely and to spread the matter. So you see here that we are also like this ex-leper, after we receive our blessings, gifts, talents, healing and breakthrough we taint to forget God and continue doing our own thing or maybe for some of us we praise God for awhile and then we place God back into a dark corner of your shelf and only take Him out again when we need Him. Let's learn to praise God always in good times and bad times. Giving God thanks would always help us to overcome our problems because we have learned to cast our problems to Jesus and depend on Him. So don't leave God on your smelly, dirty and old shelf any longer it's time to take Him out and walk this life with Him because it's going to be fun, it's an adventure

So hope you learn something from this because I also don't know where I'm going I'm just sharing what's on my heart so hope it inspire, encourage and taught you something. Love you deep deep.

The Reason Gen1.2 Is For

Well as you can see I've or rather WE have decided to call this blog - "Boat-Rocker" the reason is simple because I'm very inspire by two things.

1st, it will be your youth pastor, Pastor Daniel because after working under him and knowing him more I realise and agrees with others that he loves to rock people's boat and if you know anything about rocking boats it makes the boat unstable & uncomfortable.

2nd, its in Matthew 14:22-33. I'm so amaze by this passage and it's gripping my heart because if you were to read it; in verse 24 it says that "the boat was in the middle of the sea, tossed by the waves, for the wind was contrary." so it means that everywhere around was noisy, wet and uncomfortable and the only comfortable place was to be on that boat in the shelter.
Going down to verse 28-29 you see that peter did the most crazy thing and that is he ask Jesus to let him walk on water and hello reality check, you are comfortable on the boat whereas outside the boat is all stormy what would you prefer? Of cos to stay in the boat la if you ask me BUT I believe right at this moment Jesus must have place something in Peter's mind and if you ask me,
I would think it'll be "Would you want to stay comfortable or do the impossible?"

This few months of dry periods, God has really been speaking to me and doing some stuff for me and I'm very appreciative of what He has done for me and its really shaking me out of my boat to walk on water with him and I've decided to do so. Well cell core & members are you ready to walk on water with me? but let me warn you its going to be hard cause it requires a price, a price to sacrifice and follow after Jesus wholeheartedly. So this is why I decided to call this blog boat-rocker for this reason we will not want to stay comfortable but change the world with Jesus.

I love you all dearly and really enjoyed moments with you all
